eightsixboy
What's the process if someone calls the hoon hotline and reports someone? Consider the implications if someone is reported for doing nothing wrong at all? Eg: disgruntled partner, unhappy neighbour, etc... Can the authorities act on a phone call? You would hope not, otherwise any random could call up and make a bogus statement. All these laws are just stupidly over the top. Fair enough if u get caught doing something stupid u should cop it but to impound a car on allegations or with no proof is just not right, I thought it was innocent until proven guilty, or maybe thats just with lesser crimes like murder lol Edited July 20, 2011 by eightsixboy Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365920-hoon-laws/page/9/#findComment-5922692 Share on other sites

MUZT3K
A couple years back when I moved into my new house there was already donut marks in the court..anyway a few months later I get a knock on the door..its the po po on a motorbike..he says we have reports of you doing burnouts...i lol'd and said yeah right prove it and it says whos marks are those in the court I said they were alreadythere before I moved here..then he said why are your tyres bold..i told him I bought them second hand lol...all he did was give me a defect coz my car was on the road not in the drive way. So to answer your question..no they cant do shit with as many calls as they can get..i would of had about 4-5 calls against me You would hope not, otherwise any random could call up and make a bogus statement. IOWNU
I have to say the conditions for successfully (and happily) owning a modified vehicle in this state are more stringent than the bilogical and environmental conditions required to maintain life. I hate driving an import and worrying everytime you see a cop. I hate being pulled over for 'random checks' just because the police are bored/have to follow stupid and ill-thought of legislation. I hate being treated with suspect and being treated like a criminal. What can we do? Surely all the enthusiasts across the state can form some form of unified lobby that will hold a degree of sway in political circles? Beyond significant change, I think, having owned over 30 Japanese imports now, I will bow out of the game and stick to hassle free Euro sportscars. That's one of the many reasons why I am selling the GTR. If I get another import, it'll be a trailer queen between track days. I've even considered an MX5 to shake the stigma.... Birds
Don't wait for the defect, do it already. No hassles, they're about as quick as a standard GTS-T and they aren't depreciating anywhere near as fast. eightsixboy
This is why im only going to drive mine on weekends or to the track from now on. We seriously should get a petition or something happening as i am seriously considering moving states cause vic is just retarded in there approach to the so called hoons. They should be targeting all the f**kwits in there commodores, i have never seen anyone around my area do anything stupid in a skyline, but the amount of times i see heros in there crummy dores been idiots just pisses me of, tainting everyone with the same brush Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365920-hoon-laws/page/9/#findComment-5926724 Share on other sites
JZP
It's almost like racism for the roads. If you look a certain way, or have certain attirbutes - you get treated differently and picked on.
