Ok guys and girls it looks like there will be a fair few members gonig to HPI drift nationals, so we thought it would not hurt to coordinate a cruise to the event. With multiple meet points for different areas of melbourne hopefully we could all arriving in a convoy.

Suggested was one meet point for the eastern suburbs

-Megamart carpark -CNR waverley rd & warrigal rd Chadstone (melways ref 69 G2)

-Time: Meet 9.30 am Leave 10am

- Either follow james if not follow me as i will be taking Citlink

- Channel 15 on the Cb's

Planning to arrive calder by say 10.30 and we may even get some exclusive access.

could anyone who has a suggestion on a meet point for there area email me or pm myself, James, or R31 Nismoid so we can let everyone know whats going on.

please post ideas below

cheers

andrew

Yup - I will be at MegaMart Chaddy @ 9.30am - leaving at 10.00am. Carpark entry on Warrigal Rd. We'll go in along the FWY.

I will exit at Toorak Rd to collect a few people at Sth Yarra Shell (Leewah, Wardest etc) - but rejoin at Kings Way. Follow me or take the tunnel - your choice. Then over Bolte Bridge, along Tulla FWY to Calder FWY - to meet at the gate approx 10.45am If you don't have eTag, go over Westgate, onto Western Ring Road (watch those cameras) and join the Calder FWY from there.

Since this is not a 'cruise' per say - I have no objection to taking rear-seat passengers if I have room. Bring a CB if you have one. My mob: 0417 037 520

If you get to Calder on Sat independent of the main group of cars, tell them you are with SAU to gain a tag that gives you PIT ACCESS :( I will bring the banner (has Snowman's car on it) so look for that if you want to say hi to everyone.

See you Saturday - and I'll be at the meet on Friday night if anyone has questions.

James

hi everyone

im a relatively new skyline owner. i've just been lurking around the forums reading all the threads, and i'm definitely coming to the drift nationals.

im not sure if anyone has realised... but this meet point is also where the NissanSilvia.com group are meeting.

i have absolutely no problems/issues with this at all - infact, i have attended many of the Silvia meets/cruises as my friends have silvias. i was planning to just cruise with the silvia club to drift nationals.

BUT if i cruise with u guys, can i also get pit access too?!

that'd be better.

The two well associated clubs going in together will be wicked.

and that's 10am SHARP!

you guys have to be there by 10.30

All west people.

Make sure you are at the gate of Calder park, no later than 10.30 :(

gonna be a BIG DAY!

Been waiting for this for a while... Im either gonna be at the meet point at Mega Mart at 9:30am or I might cruise up by myself and meet you there.. I think if you plan on leaving by 10am and swinging through the city your not going to get there at 10:30am....

I'll speak with acsplit and R31Nismoind tonight to arrange... c u all tomorrow

Im with SLY too, i think we wont make it by 10.30 if we leave at 10am, perhaps leave at 9.45? Dont want to get there late and not get our "pit access" passes.

    • I like it when the counter chick leads you out the back into the racks and says "have a grub around in here and see if you can find what you need. I'll be back in a few minutes. Just left me in front of a massive motorised shelving system and 2-3 million fasteners, so I could find a peculiar SS shoulder bolt with cap head. Gotta love country towns.
    • I used this https://osgiken.com.au/product/os-giken-os-250r-lsd-gear-oil-80w250-1-litre/   shut my nismo 1.5 pro up by heaps…. Not silent though. Gives the car character and personality. It ain’t a carolla. If you want silent, put a quaife in it.
    • It's about the same time for me from Bunnings, or the Fasteners. My big push away from takeaway food, and gluten in general keeps me away from the Bunnings Snags too! Weather up here, I've been out for two walks today in the beautiful sunshine. Had a few little drizzles, and some wind, that honestly, a tin of beans and I could compete on how harsh she blows Thankfully, being this bit inland, we're not getting anything much really. Will probably pick up a bit more when/if Cyclone Alfie decides to come ashore. A few areas in the GC though, and south into NSW are really getting smashed though! Right now, I'm just annoyed Alfie hasn't hit, as I'm not allowed to crack into the BBQ foods like the bacon and eggs until the Cyclone hits "In case we lose power"...
    • I love fastener joints, the price difference between them and joints like Bunnings or Super Cheap is amazing, and they either have exactly what you want, or they can get it to quick They have even given me some for free when I only needed a couple of specific size In saying this, I have paid premium for fasteners from Bunnings if they have the sizes I need, but only for convenience really, as my local is only 10 minutes away, the Sushi joint near them is also a consideration  How's the weather Matt? Stay safe mate
    • Wideband is worth setting up if only for tuning purposes. I would not mess with the ignition system unless there's a misfire. HKS crank trigger is popular out here for the relatively easily sourced Denso crank sensor, not a bad idea to install as well regardless of power level on a standalone. Boost leak test is worth thinking about. Oil pressure sensor tied to a fuel cut isn't a bad idea either. Getting the tune figured out is a good idea. Without putting eyes on it and getting under it there's no way for us to tell you exactly what it needs but most likely you're down to the last 10% that will make a big, big difference in how happy you are with the car.
