Carbon Fiber Shark Fins

[AAARGH 33]

Hey guys,

This may be a long shot but has anyone fitted one of these to their cars? I thought it would be a nice little addition to set the Skyline apart from others,adding a bit of Euro touch to it.

Anyways did a bit of searching around on Ebay and found this:

So for around $76 it doesn't sound too bad.

On the BMWs it is an aerial. That one posted on ebay isn't though.

I've had this in mind for quiet some time now, would use a real BMW tho so it has some function

You mean using a real BMW roof antenna then wiring it up to the R33?

Would involve cutting a hole in the roof though. Seems like a lot of dicking around for what it is worth.

Fair enough. Yeah I don't listen to the radio because I hate having the antenna sticking 1.5m up in the air lol. So I disconnected it and one day will shave it off.

Yeh the antenna is huge aye, and I get no reception on the low mode, hence why this idea had come to me, prolly never get around to doing it but

Yeah the antenna is a joke. Reminds of a remote control car with those massive antennas sticking out of them lol.

Mine has one, not C/F but a similar smaller version used for DAB-TV and digital radio, and amplified version from the UK you do have to drill thru 2 layers of steel to mount, I'm writing a guide up on how too for posting soon.

that one is only a fake antenna off eblow.

retail the new DAB antennas like that run 200 bucks plus a bunch to install, the headliner has to come down , which was recovered in black suede while down anyhow..lol
