The ACMA and UHF CB Australia today confirmed that the new UHF CB radio class licence is now officially in force meaning that UHF CB radio operators now have access to the newly revised 80 channel allocation

looks like it's programmable to me....http://www.exploroz.com/Forum/Topic/30219/GME_TX-3400_Radio_programming.aspx . try the distributor or a retailer. The guy I got my vertex off is doing it for free.

Good thing my CB is an industrial unit that is fully programmable with up to 1000 channels of the frequency and band of your choice. I wish I could run different bands at the same time but it requires the laptop/carpc plugged in to switch between band setups :(
