Seeing as we're all into fast cars, here's some pics of the GT3R on its first win;

from about the 1:00 mark some incar sounds much like a cup car, well it is basically a cup car with two electric motors in the front hubs and a big kinetic flywheel in the passenger side.

Mint. A hybrid I could actually like :)

I know it says hybrid on the hips, but unless Porsche has changed the cooling design for the battery packs then the pics are simply of another GT3R, non hybrid one - GT3R-Hybrid has the cooling slits, in attached pic marked in red.

It might refuel less but the rules forced a certain refueling time. This greatly benefits cars that use less fuel. If they had F1 styled pit-stop refueling, I would exact an entirely different race.

2mins 20seconds is a huge amount of time to refuel.

Lol, cool car, new it was too good to be true, just like how the major endurance races can't be one in a petrol car, or how front wheel drives in most categories are given performance breaks.

What exactly do you mean?

Overall they use less fuel, meaning less fuel stops - the actual stops were regulated to 2mins 20seconds or so. So if they do even 2 extra laps between refuelling than the other teams can manage thats a big advantage given they will be stopped for the same time as the others, they just stop less times.

But with forced pit times we can never know how much it really helped. Long pit times only hurt petrol based vehicles, it is clear they are trying to encourage other types of vehicles.

It affects the amount of fuel a vehicle has to carry, reducing its lap times. Completely changes pit stop strategy with tyre changes and repairs.

That car overtook me on the Ring right on the entry to Carousel when I was there on a track day in 2009. Went through bottomed out the whole time. Sparks were a flyin. Needless to say it was quickly gone.

Exactly, competition is the best way to develop a technology so if they are really keen in developing this technology as something other then a PR stunt then it would be better to enter it into a series which is a straight fight.

That quickly sorts out what is worthwhile and what isn't :thumbsup:

    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything

    • What does it look like with highway driving? And yes, I had a similar thought as Duncan. It looks quite similar in my Stagea and I have made myself accept it as normal. Might have to look into it some day   Highway gets as low as 10l/100km on my end so I'm not as worried about it being a mechanical issue. More likely just the tune on the haltech.
