Will Changing From Pods To Arc Box Increase Idle?

hey guys,

i recentlty changed from K&N podfilters to an Arc super induction box on my r32 gtr. After the installation my car now idles at around a constant 2000rpm!

My car was dynotuned before the change to suit the intake of the pods, now i believe the engine is able to suck in alot more air resulting in a higher idle??? which means it needs to be dynoed again??

Has anyone came across a similar situation?

Sounds more like less air getting through to me>>>choke symptom

But also maybe check your afm connection.

There isn't anymore air getting in that there was previously.

You've either got split/damaged hose, perhaps knocked the AFM, or issue round there.

you'll have to check it all.

Constant 2000rpm might even be limp home mode (when AFMs are done for/unplugged)

I changed from M's pods to an ARC box, no change in idle.

This was years ago and using a map sensor ecu

Ok i must have f'd something up in the process of installinng the arc box.

Ill go over it when i get some time off work,
