Front Mount Intercooler

i have a stock r33 gtst with blitz exhaust and was wondering how much difference a frount mount would be in power?

so adding a front mount intercooler wont do anything at all for power preformance? how can i get more power and performance?

This is half true for a GT-R, the factory item flows quite well. A SMIC on the other hand... lol

Will it make an improvement in performance? I believe so, a FMIC will be in an area with better air flow as well as being larger so it won't be as prone to heat soak

How much of an increase? No idea, I upgraded the SMIC in my R33 to a R34 SMIC

how much extra power you get from a FMIC depends on many things. in certain conditions the power gain will be nothing. in other conditions the power gain will be large. for example on a warm day where you have been driving the car hard then a FMIC won't suffer from heat soak as much, so it really isn't gaining any power but reducing the power loss.

Having a front mount it self won't add power, but the extra boost you can run due to better cooling efficiency will be where the power advantage comes in
