Surely thats what you would expect from the bogans on that particular forum.

The forum agreement when you sign up surely dictates you must be of the 'rip a skid' kind and be atleast 95% bogan. If they didnt have that automotive forum (if you can call it that) they would equally spread out amongst others polluting them with boganised crap and illegal automotive socialising.

Typical self centered f ucks, hope the police got some good photographs to back up the letters for EPA and roadworthy.

I'm all for skids but there is a place and time for everything, this was not the place.

Idiots.

I wonder in which moment did these cluster fucks think that the police wont be writing all the plates down. Oh and awesome job on playing down the whole "hooning" image, fkn nuckle draggers.

Seriously f**king idiots..

I hope the lot of them get their cars impounded.. If not crushed for being so dumb.

If they wanted to 'rip skids' why didn't they have a track day or something like that in their memory?!

So embarrassing to even share the road with these people.

Am I the only one who sees the irony there...

Such a sad thing to happen. Reminds me of about 10 years ago with a guy i used to play ice hockey with. an absolute champ at such a young age got taken due to a driving accident.

As we left the funeral 1 ute driver bagged it up out the front, about 5 guys threw stuff at his ute for being a twat and not respecting the situation.

So what actually happened to the guys who died?

But what I wanna know is, why didn't the police stop the idiots doing burnouts and fine them on the spot?

Edit: Quote from Boostcruising.

To my knowledge the police were aware of what was to take place and blocked the road to allow it to happen.

According to some of the posts they died doing stupid shit.

As for the police, well apparently they only sent one car out to start with.... seriously outnumbered, what were they gonna do?

It almost looks to me like they decided to just let them do it, and then move on, rather than start a full "incident" and have a mob on their hands

That's exactly how I'm reading it.

Being a funeral, the situation was always going to be emotionally charged - taking on those doing the burnouts could've ended up being very ugly.

The police blocked off the road - yeah sure, for the safety of the other motorists, that wasn't a green light for them to do what they did. I don't know a single cop that would intentionally block a public road and allow a burnout comp on it.

It's one thing to give it a go as you're leaving, it's another thing entirely to do standstills for an hour. It's selfish and it's disrespectful. Imagine if you were there visiting a loved one's grave, or even worse, having a funeral while all that crap was going on? This wasn't about giving someone a send-off, this was about using someone's death as an excuse to engage in a pissing contest.

I know if I was the funeral house, I'd be asking plenty of questions at future funerals if the deceased was a young male. Some of those marks look like they'll be there till the next millennium - not a good advertisement.

Problem is, boostcruising = SAU = any other modified performance car group to the media and general public, so they'll think we're those idiots.

Shell/Iron Chef - agree with your take on situation. Its reasonable to assume they will all get tickets etc in the mail. I certainly hope so.

    • I had never actually looked into it, but aren't onboard compressors a thing in trucks?
    • Read the ECU for fault codes or have someone else do it. A faulty coolant temperature sender is usually listed in ECUs. If the sensor itself is not busted it can also be a bad ground connection. Or in a really unlucky case, damaged wiring.
    • Can't be a Futjitsubo as those are made with a flex piece and Reimax is smaller in pipe diameter. If anything it is closest to a Mines pipe, but evidently it is not an actual Mines pipe.   Classic word humor
    • Alright I will try to not forget.   As GTSboy replied to you already, problem is mainly the mismatch between the actual exhaust part and the denomination in the papers. That basically just looks like tampering to a cop, if they were to check your car and notice. If it had been done right they would have clarified it to be a custom pipe and just given it a certain part number that you have to engrave or weld onto the pipe. I will definitely inquire on what to do. Changing the pipe wouldn't be my favorite solution as it costs a bunch of money and the cat was fitted with the front pipe and exhaust under the car, and if the front pipe flange does not sit in the OEM location the cat will need to be refit for any other pipe to work. It also usually doesn't need a brand name or something like that, but more something like a part number. Usually for exhaust parts, on silencers and cat units specifically, there is a badge that reads the certificate number that belongs to these exhaust parts under EU regulation. You get these numbers after you put a part or group of parts through the tedious testing according to EU vehicle legislation and they pass. You can find these "part numbers" on various parts throughout a EU vehicle. On windows, headlights, engine parts, seat belts and so on. All these parts have gone through standardized testing and acquired a so called ECE or EG Certificate that makes them legal to use by themselves in all countries that adhere to these standards. You can also not alter these parts in any way, if you do they become illegal. An example for stampings on an exterior lighting part, the people who need to know can find the documentation for this unit in a database. I do not know what all the standards and so on mean.
    • If that was the case I suppose you could call it "Mein's" brand....  ... I'll see myself out... 😅
