Hey Guys,

I have a technical question. My R33 GTS25T is having problems once it heats up a bit.

Recently I have noticed that once the car heats up, under acceleration the car splutters and cuts out, taking off from the lights is the worst,

almost as if it is running out of petrol. It will splutter and do like a bunnyhop.

When the engine is cool however, it dosent seem to do it and runs like a dream.

Please offer me suggestions of where to look. I am guessing a sensor or something?

Terry

And change your plugs whle you've got access. NGK BCPR6ES gapped to .8mm. Clean your coil packs and look for evidence of shorting. Do a search and choose one of the many ways of insulating them (or if they are the oem ones still and you have money get a set of splitfires).

Hi mate, could also possibly be an underfuel issue like a clogged fuel filter, I had this issue on an RB20 a few years ago, the fuel filter was clogged full of gunk. Does it drop a cylender and sound like a wrx or surge and splutter and feel like theres no accelerator?

I will look at the fuel filter.

It doesn't really surge, from memory. But it definitely doesn't sound like a WRX, it actually runs quite smoothly still.
