just need to know if one of my plugs is fouled (suspected) can i replace it with a different type.

got double platinums in there at the moment and want to just chuck a cheapie replacement copper one in there (gapped the same of course) in the meantime till i change the lot.

reason being is that they are only about 3000k old

Why can't you buy one of the same?

I cracked two NGK copper BCPR6ES plugs across the ceramic after 2,000km!

Admittedly I sometimes travel as little as 25km a day to and from work (9-5 work) and I suppose I hit the car reasonably hard but never take it over 6,000rpm.

Got me stumped.

I have Iriways in it now but I'm probably going to go back to coppers next time.
