In the earlier days the police had no idea if a car was plated or not and many people including myself used to move uncomplied cars around via trade plates but those days are over the police are and will check.

I think that the answer to the original question is that you can't drive your non complianced car around unless you are wearing a penis pump whilst eating some magic beans and licking oral gel from some guys body.

Seeing as you probably don't want to do any of these things, get it towed!
