Hi all

Battery looks like it needs replacement now and I have a few options

Spend about $150 for a Century with 330 CCA's. Easy straight swap, no need to fuss around.

Spend about $200 on a DiaMec Deep Cycle Gel

May require fussing about with the battery terminal connections, a pain in the butt

Not sure if it fits in the engine bay

R34 GTR users on this forum have used this and found to have great results

Spend about $340 on an Optima Yellow Top with 750 CCAs. WOuld this one be okay?

Problem is, will have to change battery terminal connections, a pain in the butt

Not sure if it fits in the engine bay

I noticed my alarm drains some amount of power because if I dont drive the car for 3-4 days, it struggles to start

Recently due to cold weather, after 1-2 days it struggles

Thanks

Standard Century battery.. Then get a tricle/storage charger or equiv. and just have it plugged in all the time.. My alarm takes power outta my car also and i drive it every 2-3 months atm LOL and it was dead flat.. So got the storage charger.. And once it charges the battery to full it goes into storage mode.. Constant full battery, no hassles..

Every 3-4 days shouldnt be a drama.. New battery should be ok.. Your old one must be on its way out..

I have a spare gel cell one you can look at and fiddle around with if you want. Am in sydney st.geoge area. Oh, it's exactly the same as the one you linked too except mines old so it has a black casing instead of the grey. Btw, jaycar has that battery too so you can prolly pick it up for slightly cheaper at jaycar by simply asking for a discount.

Also have one in my 33 - used custom (home made lol) brackets to hold the battery. Can't fault the battery, performs well but is starting to show signs of age finally.
