Hi guys and gals

My headlight just blew on my darling Zila (95) so I need to replace it. I just bought Phillips H1 Vision plus 50.s (x2) for the low beams but I wonder what should I use for the high beams?

Any suggestions?

Secondly; I had a look under the hood (a couple of times!) and I couldn't figure out how to replace them.

Do I take out the whole headlight assembly or go in from behind: if so how?

I would appreciate advice and tips on how to install the bloody things!

and if this is too problematical for a dodo like me

CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND AN HONEST, COMPETENT, DOWN TO EARTH SKYLINE MECHANIC FOR BASIC REPAIRS ( HI PO MODS OPTIONAL)

(I am a V8 convert!) and my man at Highpoint Mufflers, though highly recommended***** is also a V8 man

(I live near Richmond, but will travel if need be)

Yours in responsible speeding,

cheers,

Tone

If the 33 is anything like a 32 then it's a headlight out job.

Stock airbox makes it pretty crowded in there too.

Once you've installed the new bulb, do a check before you completely fit everything back as often the bulb can be a bit crooked, yet still fit in OK.

Big job to remove it all again just because the bulb isn't seated right home.

Pretty certain last time I had to replace a globe, the globes are fitted from the rear. Only time I had to remove the assembly was when the adjuster crapped itself.

You should be able to get 100W globes for the hi-beams.
