Hey people,

Just a quick report on the Dyno day at TM Autosports tuggerah today.

Apporx 45 cars were dynoed, I thought i did well to get 159rwkw out of my almost bog stock RB25DET, that is until the Autostyle cars pulled up...

The most interesting being the R32 GTR, which made over 400kw at all 4 paws!

I was amazed that such a powerful (street driven) car could look so clean.

TM Autosports also dif a great job of organising and making the day an enjoyable one for all the participants.

nmcmahon83: even though that 308 didn't make much power I thought it rocked. If I ever had to get rid of my 33 I would consider getting one of the...

It was a good day in general.... I thought TM did a really good job at organising considering it is the first one they have ever held... and the fact that the cars were on and off fairly quickly was good too as they haven't had their dyno that long.

and andrew, they arent all like that !!! :)

I know... But their participation at Drag Combat was quite lame... 6 GTRs all displaying around 400kw @ wheel dyno sheets in their windscreens, and none of them ran :nowigetit

Dyno queens :)

Thanks for the compliments on the car Talej, sure it's old and stuff, but it was a nice change for the day if you ask me :) something different.

The dyno brake wasn't working properly as I understand, so they had a bit of trouble getting the high powered cars off it after their runs. All in all it was a pretty cool day.

By the way it was FLYBYE the R32 GTR... looked pretty nice too.

Franks the only thing autostyle about the black car is the sticker on the windscreen, that was one week after I had traded it in and nothing had been done to it

I agree with Merli this time it makes me sick to see all those so called dyno monsters at Dragcombat just sitting doing nothing damn waste if you ask me

I'm not really dissing Autostyle... They have some beauuuuuuuuuutiful cars... I just think it's a shame to be making so much power and not using the cars to their potential, and instead just cruising around the city and going to street races sad2.gif

hahaha nah Franky the car came with the badge, I had planned on getting a respray and having it removed, but ended up selling it before I had a chance to, I can't blame the Autostyle cars not racing at every meet but it would be nice to see them having a go at big events sometimes

yeah great day.

Big respect to Ivan in the GTiR, 271kw atw. go the ol sr20.

Evo 3 / or gsr? behind that with 234 odd atw

Old 80s style 300zx in Orange form Autostyle made 440kw rwd with a

rebuilt rb26 6 speed dog box.

Autostlye flybye r32 gtr with stock gearbox and diffs and a 2.7 rb26 made 401kw

a 4 wheels on 1.5 bar. with a TRUST T88-34D thats barely even going!

lol.

got lag.

Soarer (ex-therapy) with T78 made a 'disspointing' 273kw atw (on his 4th run just

piping Ivan for 3rd overall) mind you - at the rears only.

great day.

I was satisfied with 171kwatw with my evo...

Car still very very rich - losing alot of power. 9:1 a/f

Man that old 300z flying donwn the street on its 9500rpm limiter sideways was awesome...

michael

Hey Brett, nah i just got mine started after installing the microtech the night befoure, and yes still has too be tuned in, but will be down the coast for a cruze with yahs very soon !...

yes i would have too say it was a very satisfying day all the cars(42) were on and off in modist haste thanks too me and Wayne THE STRAP DOWN GUYS... hehe

i was impressed too see the a GTIR crew turn up and a few others ...

the owners of TM were happy that everyone was happy with there performance and will be having runs more often in the future ....

thanking also Dom n Tim for bringing there Killawatt kings up it realy livened the day up ... even a few burnouts down the end of the coldersack was all good too .....

440 was the biggest reading of the day at the rear from Doms 2.6DET 204R powered old school Z

Tims was the biggest all four with the R32 poppping out just over 400KW and only the lowest setting too add .....

anyway it was a great day and many more too come in the future ...

(ohh just too add about the autostyle "dyno queens" if you had a car worth over 100k would you thrash the guts out of it just for the sake of it ? i shure wouldnt .....they are more into the drift days anyway .... )

Yep Dan I agree thats why I don't blame them for not racing at every meet, just be nice to see the big GTR's racing at bigger meets like Drag combat instead of sitting pretty in the carpark, but if drift is there thing I guess thats fair enough

Sounds like a geat day was had by all, good luck with the final stages of your car mate you must be getting excited now

well yes i do agree with you there it would be nice too see them burn down the strip .....but hey its there call ......

yeh i hope all goes well with my car as i know what i have in it now ...hehe ....

hows your car going whats with the buster mobile you fixed all the hick ups .you didnt seem too impressed at drag combat .

    • I did a skidpan night at SMSP this week, it was much cheaper than $350. But yeah, you need to slap an LSD in that thing.  I put an OS Giken in the 370Z and it's f**king MARVELOUS even compared to Nissan's viscous LSD. So you're saying it's free now that it's a housing estate? 😂
    • Nah, the car seems to run exactly as it did prior, in saying this it does "seem" to be better down low, like more eager to rev, but that may be 100% placebo effect from intake noise But, I'm not worried about it at all, in the end it is a fairly low compression NA engine that has a well shrouded intake,  if it is getting hotter IAT I cannot notice anything negative performance wise from the seat of my pants thrashing it about on the street or sitting in traffic, so meh, car now now makes induction noise so I'm happy
    • Do you have an IAT sensor? It's worth checking it to see. You may be suprised how little gap you actually need to flood your engine with hot air. (I tape up my airbox for a reason) :p
    • @KinkstaahKrinkle paint the "silver" alloy, not the red filter frame Engine bay heat won't be a issue worth worrying about as the silver alloy blocks it off on 3 sides, as for the top, the bonnet seals most of it and the big OEM CAI intake snorkel is still fitted in its original position  I will head into Clark's Rubber when I have some time to grab some pinch weld to tidy up the alloy after I paint it As for performance, I honestly wasn't expecting any, the only reason I got it is because the intake noise sounds cool to my old ears when I'm feeding it the beans Sometimes it's the silly things you do in in life that gives the most fun, and I do love anything that makes cool car noises In other news: I survived 4 nights at sea with Jackie not throwing me over board, holidays are continuing now as we are currently chilling at the Beachcomber in Toukley, after taking the coast roads from Sydney in the MX5, top down all the way, Toukley is where I spent a good deal of my youth holidaying during the summer months, there's lots of reminiscing going on,  and lots of beaches and old houses to visit Next on the list is to head to Batemans Bay for a few days, but we will take the Commodore out to stretch its legs, then Commodore hasn't really moved for months
    • There’s probably people who’d like to do it and then when it comes to putting their hands in their pockets they’ll all disappear into the shadows
