Translating A Uss Auction Sheet

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys,

I was wondering if anyone here would be kind enough to translate this USS auction sheet (if possible, I know this might be a long long shot). I did basic Japanese back in school - but that's a distant and ancient memory now.

I have done some reading around on the internet and know how to identify the basic stuff on the auction sheet. I know there is a issue with odometer readings (*), which is basically my main concern. I know the stock odo shell was replace with a Nismo one at some point, but when (not sure if that can be gathered from this auction sheet)?

I know there are some HKS mods in there as well (but not sure what they are exactly).

Thoughts and opinions welcome.

Fair question.

As per what I have been advised, the original cluster was replace by the Nismo one at 58,000 kms in 2009. But the Nismo cluster now reads 59,000 Kms, which is why apparently the * is listed there. But again, this is all what has been advised. Not sure if this means the car is 58,000 kms + 59,000 kms = 120,000 kms (can anyone drive 59,000 kms in two years) or whether it was changed to a similar valued Nismo cluster in 2009 (I have been advised that this is what has occurred). My mechanic has given the thumbs up, but obviously I want to know roughly how many Kms the car has done whether its 59,000, 75,000 or 120,000.

Hope that makes sense.

Hey man

Well to give a short answer - there's not really any way to tell the true km of the vehicle... At least not from the auction sheet!

But here's a few clues to help you... Auction sheets list the km reading, If the km are non genuine - they used to place a ? Next to the odo reading... This is now a * because to the Japanese auction houses - and asterisk is less offensive than a question mark...

Same as why they now have a solid star instead of "grade R" for when a vehicle has been crash repaired...

So basically - nobody knows without contacting the previous owner...

BUT youll see the writing in the blurb "H19.6" which is relevant to the Nissan service year count....

So basically from what I can read (and unless anybody can prove me wrong) then your nismo dash isn't too far off the mark... Give or take maybe a few thousand km...

But honestly if you're asking because you're wondering how much you need to service it or to what extent? Given the amount of stuff written on the auction sheet id say that your service history docs should still be in your dashboard or at least stamped somewhere on a placard?

But my advise is if you're paranoid about whether or not to change waterpump..... Just do it all :) better be safe and knock it all out in the one round of labour than be sorry!!

Thank you for your advice.

As per what I have been advised, unfortunately there was no service logs that came with the car. The auction sheet was the only document provided.

The reason for the sense of paranoia is exactly because of wanting to know when to go about changing various parts.

Got a bigger image?

I can see you have a 320km Nismo meter, oil cooler, 3 HKS gauges, HKS air filter, some aftermarket muffler, roll bar etc.

You also have some worn seats & handles, slight rust under the body and a few dints patched up. Do I also see that it comes with a new car warranty card and manual?

The two rows on the top right of the line above H19.6 says that the meter is listed as altered as there are no records indicating when the Nismo meter was installed. So my guess is that they adjusted the Nismo meter to "around" 59k as you mentioned above. That said, the June 2007 inspection papers seem to say that there were 54649km on it, and 58558km in June 2009. Can't read the stuff on the right of those figures though. Something about installation or records.

Some other points:

Minor dint on the driver's side mirror?

Something done to the glovebox? Something installed inside?

Other parts still a bit hard to read. You also have a HKS intercooler and Xenon headlights though.
