I'm missing my Skyline like crazy and so have decided to bite the bullet and get me another one. Does anyone know of any R33's for sale at a good price? How much do you think I can pick one up for these days? I don't want too many mods, just something neat and in good condition. I have just bought Tein fully adjustable coilovers for it so suspension is no problem. If anyone has any ideas or knows of anything thats out there at the moment please help me out!! Thanks.

I may as well jump on the band wagon here... I am also considering selling mine, as much as I love it I would like a R34... mine is in really good condition, has a few mods putting out a good power figure and the price is negotiable :D

22500 , 25000 ? asking a bit much arent you for series 1 , good luck with it though im sure youll need it

my suggestion rebecca if your going to pay that sort of money for a skyline then save for an r34 , almost as much as half the guys are asking on here for theirs , give it a few months

I for one have sold my r33 and am looking to get into a nother one , have you considered a cheapy? i have seen a few 33's n/a's in these forums and in the paper for 13-14 some with mods

few nice gtst's hanging around for 16K with a few mods , or cruise perthcars.com dont rush into one im not , save as much as you can before you buy it , no rush youll get into 1 eventually just remember they depreciate in value very quickly and the price of r33's are going down alot more importers coming on board etc..

yeah a lot of the cars are pulling high horsepower and are highly modded which Rebecca said she didnt want. Cam's is so high because of his deafening stereo system. The fact of the matter is if you spend a whole heap on mods you aint going to get the money back .... you would recoup the money better if you returned car to stock and sold mods seperately .... which is what i plan to do if i ever sell my car.

Hmm - I'm not trying to make a heap of money back - but mine isn't a stocker and nor does it look, drive or sound like one.. :looks over at mark's avitar:

I think you'll be waiting quite a while for those $20k R34's seeing as they are $35k to $45k at the moment..

Each to their own opinion. I feel you get what you pay for...

All that said - mine is still for sale at @ $22,500...

ps - Al, give me something to chuckle at...

As I stated I put that price in as a ballpark starting figure... If you notice I have stated clearly its very negotiable, I dont expect to get that price but you need a starting figure... If I dont sell it, it wont bother me as I am very happy with it. I just thought it would be nice to buy a R34. Either way at the end of the day I am going to be happy... Might even buy the R34 regardles as I think you can get a nice one for around $35,000.

    • Hi all, Restoring r33 series 1 rb25det. All the heater hoses were on their way out, have replaced them and put it all back together. After testing I noticed a small leak from behind the head on the actual metal water line to the turbo when cars warm. I tried running a longer hose over it but it kept leaking...   I am about to take the (stock) manifold off again😔 to change the water line does any one have any lines they recommend? I was looking at Aeroflow Turbo Oil & Water Line Set but not sure what everyone else recommends. Car is completely stock but want to upgrade turbo eventually. it looks like ill have to disconnect a lot just to replace these lines so if there's anything else recommended to do please let me know. Thank you in advance!
    • From memory, on the R33 GTSt at least, while everyone says "It's not adjustable", I found when I changed clutches in mine, it just needed a small adjustment on the rod length. But be very wary here, as you could end up trying to push the pushrod in the master too far, or blowing out the slave.   Most likely though, if the master/slave isn't bypassing internally or leaking out, then the throw out is the wrong height compared to the fingers on the clutch, so when it moves to disengage the clutch, it isn't 100% disengaged. You can check part of this out too by jacking the car up, having the engine running, put your foot on the clutch and try to engage 1st gear. If it goes in pretty easy (Compared to the ground) and/or the wheels start turning a fair bit and it takes a bit too much brake pedal to bring them back to a stop, this is likely the issue.  I'm not sure if you can adjust the height of the forks etc in these though, it's been that long since I've touched any RB gearbox.
    • That's all good, I thought I was missing some interesting feature! Maybe @PranK can double check if that is something that is meant to be operating or not.
    • I hope that is not something that bad. From what i remember he said that only first gear is "hard" to get in and that he has couple of ideas what to try next but idk 😕  hope it is not gearbox out. I will let you know.
    • If it's not the hydraulics, it is probably gearbox back out. Usually as per @Duncan's post, or otherwise associated with not getting the throwout fork positioned correctly. All the way up to catastrophically bolting shit back together without it being aligned properly and wrecking the clutch/input shaft/flywheel/something else.
