I got an invite from Na_r33 on friday afternoon for a skidpan and LVMA day, and since I had never done one before I couldn't resist. The thing I couldn't believe was that after a while the instructors just sat around and let you do pretty much whatever you wanted to do provided you are not a complete D*@%head. The only warning of the day I can remember was to try and keep the revs down a little.

I am still sunburnt, have a jarred neck, and my bank account is a little emptier but it was worth it. I had so much fun. Thanks must go to John who let me ride in the redline machine for much of the day, and to the other Skyline owner in the Purple qkr33 line. (I'm so sorry I can't remember your name.) Thanks for the drifting lessons.

And John. I hope you put more than 4 screws in your rear bumper when you put it back on.

Yes I took my car. I was a little reluctant at first but once I got into it I had an absolute ball. Also I only push whatever car I'm driving a little bit at a time until I reach what it can take. However getting to find out how it responds when you get it really out of control is both informative and really really fun. I also learnt that I need bigger rims. (Anyone could have told me that) and better tyres. and new brake pads. and sway bars. Damn. I need more money. There were also two porsche gt3's there. mmmmm. nice.

YES, the GT3's were pure porn.... they also put us c0cky skyline owners in out place to a degree, but we did quickly learn that our cars dont compare to them in many aspects, those these cars were proper race cars, almost no interior full cages BIG $$$$
