I have started to notice a very rich fuel smell when the car is cold and being warmed up idle over the past 3 weeks. Engine light is on, my yellow jackets and iridium spark plugs are arriving and ready to install on monday, considering ordering an O2 sensor for fuel efficiency, what could this white smoke + rich fuel smell be?

I've checked the oil levels, water and fuel cap leakage (makes a pshhhh sound when opened so that can't be it), or is it normal to smell really strong fuel around the car when it's warming up + heaps of white smoke? Searched around could it be fuel injectors / filters? Or is it just the exhaust condensing when it's cold?

Car is stock, exhaust is stock, little or no change to idling...

Car: R34 N/A MT

Help welcome! Thanks for the help previously too =D

disgusting smell remains, do i have to change my whole stock exhaust to change the catalytic convertor? because i'm looking for an excuse to get a catback

your cat maybe borked from having so much unburnt fuel going thru it, suggest you get a new cat and zorst at the same time
