So I'm trying to determine whether its my bearings or just normal noise from pineapples. I only noticed it because I changed to a super silent exhaust.

Symptom:

Driving dead straight on highway at 110kmh, decelerating to 100kmh I get a growling rumbling vibration regardless of clutch engagement. Doesn't happen on low speeds, and regardless of changing lanes. Very noticeable decelerating at certain speeds but not all speeds.

The sound is not super loud, and its soft but noticeable.

Now i have pineapples setup for traction, anyone else with pineapples have any noticeable sounds at high speeds, mainly when letting off the accelerator? At least I can rule out the pineapples.

I've checked both my left tires for play but they're solid as a rock, (only check left side coz Mrs said she thinks its the left side)

I don't wanna go buying parts without narrowing it down, if I'm out of luck researching I'll take it into the shop

Its normal. Bushes are designed to insulate car from noise. Pineapples are designed to nullify the effect of the bushes to tighten up the rear end so rumble from diff (and wheels) is magnified. It says on the instructions that you can take the pineapples out between track days but ( I suspect like most people) I can't be bothered and just put up with the noise (turn up the stereo!).

If the pineapples are alloy, then more NVH is to be expected. If its a street car, you may be better with neoprene/nolathane/whatever its called pineapples.

Just take them out and go for a test run - you'll have your answer.
