Went for a nice casual drive in to the CBD today.. parked right out front of the AFP headquarters. Had an undercover tail me up Queen st then turned off, no issues :)

Probably thought you were part of the AFP and left you alone....

Just outside Kinglake last weekend, a black unmarked BMW 1200cc bike with plain clothed officer pulled over the car behind me for swerving into oncoming traffic, checking for a gap to overtake me on the wrong side....... moron

there was an unmarked bike on beach rd this morning... a red ducati with cop hidden cop lights etc, rider was in plain leathers... I didn't know they had unmarked bikes... I'd be asking to see ID if he pulled me over

i do... one of them pinned me talking on m phone :/

There was a Ford exploder on the eastern yesterday, was black and only had lights mounted on the windscreen and rear window. He went ripping through traffic with his siren on, i had to look twice as you dont expect that coming at you when you hear a siren.

    • Maybe the same way that everyone in NSW with modifications gets a slip By rights, the inspector is "meant" to check for "non-compliant" modifications Occasionally, but rarely, a inspector will get busted for passing off cars that don't comply, but this is hard to enforce as the inspector can just say, "it was standard when I inspected it" They occasionally create "task groups" and "stings" for this, but mainly they just roll out and establish roadside inspection stations, or, the police are tasked to just drive around and give out canaries to the usual suspects  This is typically why only people who drive around with a large "heat signature" get pinned, because they make themselves a easy target for inspection stations and the Hwy Patrol
    • How do people sell and buy modified cars in Victoria? Because internet says you have to get a RWC every time the car is sold. In NSW the blue slip / full check is only required for cars that had their registration lapsed or are bought from interstate. The yearly pink slip / rego check just looks at tyres, lights, leaks and things like that. They tend to not care about modifications. So can buy a car that is modified as long as it was registered before modifications. And then keep driving it. With the lingering threat of getting defected and fu<ked at any time.
    • I think just better tyres, I'm just on Hankook RS-4 tyres at the moment, which aren't really meant for the track. Also, been mucking around with my suspension for sometime now and I'm really happy bow neutral it is. Car doesn't want to just oversteer or understeer like it did years ago.  Time to put on proper tyres one day and see what the shit box can do at SMSP, One Raceway and Luddenham again.
