Hi people,

This problem has been happening for a while now. When the car is cold it is perfectly fine, runs as it should. Once it warms up, maybe 4-5minutes after ignition the problem kicks in.

As soon as the revs hit around 3000rpm it's like you have jammed the clutch down or you've put it in neutral, the revs just shoot up. If you hold the accelerator so it's not right to the floor then you can kind of get the car to accelerate but very slowly...as soon as you plant it, or even three quarters down, the revs fly without the car accelerating. The weird thing is that when I start the car in the morning and take it for a thrash it's perfectly fine. It was happening before I installed a brand new clutch, and it is happening still. Has anyone else had this problem? The car has done around 108 000 kms and is mod free. I took it to a garage for a general check-up and got them to do a quick check but they couldn't see anything obvious.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,

Nick

as i posted in his other thread about this (in the intro section), it will be the clutch. may just be an adjustment issue, but i'd say that it is knackered and the flywheel is most likely knackered as well. also if it was a 300zx clutch, from what i gather only the natro ones will fit, so it probably is no better than a stock sr20 clutch.
