Very sorry to hear about this alex_c. I will keep my eyes open around here.

A timely reminder to us (certainly me) to consider where we store our keys and spare keys at home too.

i keep my keys next to my bed, or with me even if im out and the cars at home..

i know its no GTR but its just as much valuable to me..

cant imagine the feeling this guy must have.

For them to break in, go straight to the keys, avoid all other possessions, know how to stealthily navigate the residence, open the garage, and take off in the cars means this is well thought out.

2 cars means a three person job. One to get them there, one per car stolen.

They would have had to know the cars were in the garage. (easy when just scoping out the house)

They would have had to know where the keys were (prior knowledge of inside the house).

They would have had to know which door leads to the garage, and how to open the garage door (if it's not a conventional door).

This just screams some sort of associate of your uncle. Someone who has been inside the house.

police are they now watching the video recording the robbers are wearing full body gear and glove and it was a 3 people job because in the recording you and see the car they drove to the house in parked across the road :( i dont think we will ever see them again and the cars dont have trackers in them

Will keep an eye out.

Obviously the thieves know these cars are easy to spot on the roads, it's highly likely the plates have been swapped by now especially if they're/were custom ones.

Insurance?? Please say yes...

Please update this thread with info as you find it, I'd love to see these f**kers get shat in by the law.

That's suck, man. I really hope you guys find the cars. You would have all the Vin numbers, so put them in your report as well.

They are near new and easy to spot, so hopefully they turn up somewhere. My guess is also it had to be someone who know the house and some people living there.

Good luck. Will keep an eye out too.

Sad news...

Going by my experience, i.e. watching Gone In 60 Seconds...cars will already be on a boat. All I can say is, thank (insert deity here) for insurance.

Shouldn't be difficult to track down if they get parted out/sold locally.

    • Thanks for reaching out!  It's a blessing and a curse at the same time.  I'm undiagnosed but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see it in me... I have more half started projects laying around my house, shed, garden, etc taking up space and money, destroying aesthetics than if I added up all of my mates projects together. But, ADHD gives me the ability to hyper focus on things that no mere mortal could even  comprehend.  A recent pool build is an example of that....  I dont know anyone else that would be dumb enough and focused enough to take on then complete something of that magnitude. I call ADHD a superpower but it can equally be completely destructive if not controlled and focusedon the right places. Addiction is a major concern to ADHD people and thankfully my addictions have been no worse than projects, XBOX, chocolate and being an arsehole! It's often hereditary and my 13 year old son is currently learning how to drive it at the moment. Keep lurking! If i can finally finish this bloody thing at some point it will be a win for all of us ADHD'ers! 🤪
    • I've been quietly following this thread for ages, but this one got me. Since my ADHD diagnosis (and associated learnings and prescription) I'm way less inclined to wade into forum yarns when there are better things to do with my time, as half the time I'd end up in some kind of forum debate even if that wasn't my intention. I've not lost the ADHD "superpowers", just am a lot better at directing my hyperfocus into slightly more constructive things, but haven't stopped quietly lurking in here in my spare time.
    • Stripped the tank down and gave it a good scrub. It came up really good! Not sure if I'll just put it back in like that or give it a blackening treatment (such as Bowdens The Black Box). That might give it a matte look so might just run it as is.
    • @MBS206 Ha ha, yeah ADHD is a daily battle to not get drawn in to doing things you want to do that you know you shouldn't do!  Every single time I walk into my shed I end up doing something I started the day having zero intention of doing! I keep mentioning the 1 step forward, 3 steps back scenario and I'm tipping people that are blessed with ADHD (yes, blessed) are the worst at that!
    • We import a lot of cars from Japan. I'd say that approximately 20% of our traffic is imported JDM cars (mainly consumer cars like the Mazda Demio, Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, Suzuki Swift, etc.). We also import a lot from the UK, but this has decreased after Brexit. Apart from the consumer vehicles, two of the larger, well-known dealerships frequently import iconic '80s/'90s JDM cars. I haven't heard of anyone importing from Australia, and they are not advertised (unlike Japanese ones), despite a lot of Maltese migrating to Australia in the '50s and '60s.
