Downloading the form is fine, it just wont let me save it after i'v altered or entered any of my information into the highlighted fields

This is normal if you are using acrobat reader. Have a look at the top of the form when opened. There is a purple bar up the top that says you cannot save typed data in this form.

You either need acrobat writer or use a free PDF printer such as cute PDF. This acts as a printer and allows you to save the print job as a PDF.

Awesome!!

Just waiting for my SAUNSW membership to come through and im in!

Feel free to jump in before then.

I'm not sure what the wait is like on membership stuff at the moment. If you want, put "recently joined" for you member ship number and I can fix it for you later.

I was having the same problems. I have PDF Creator installed on my computer, and apparently it won't allow printing of this form. Cut PDF Writer works perfectly well.

Signed up, ready to rumble :)

Hey Matt how many people are attending so far? How many space left to fill?

I've been watching some videos of cars getting 'round Marulan...seems to me my little GTR could get punished on this tight track! :O

Nice SMART pdf form. Not having gone to this track before, what does "this test can be done on the day" mean? Does it happen at the start of the day? Or do they/or SAU pick the really loud cars and test them?Mine is not real loud, certainly no issues with the police, but I have no idea exactly how loud it is and I assume others would be in the same situation. Assuming a car gets knocked back at the start of the day, do they lose the entry fee?Looking forward to another day out, maybe I can catch up with XKLABA's awesome car this time.

Take note that the measurement is done 5m from the exhaust pipe. Typical test measurements are 500mm away on a 45 degree angle. Distance makes a truly massive different to noise levels. Sound level should drop around 4db per doubling of distance (assuming the environment is between a half and quarter sphere). But I could be wrong.

There's a fair few spots still spare. Don't be scared by the videos. Remember, you're only likely to punish the car if you choose to.

Ok nice one. I might throw it out to a few associates.

I'm reasonably confident my GTR will survive - it has barely any power and is going in for brakes, adjustable sway bars and tyres this week!

Edit: typo

    • KYBs are typically twin tube, putting them in the lower tier of desireability. Do you just want to replace worn out ones for the lowest cost? I mean, you wouldn't just replace one end of a car, if the rears are a similar age to the fronts, then they are probably nowhere near what they should be, and likely won't be great against brand new fronts. So, to spend ~$800 on 2nd tier dampers, when you could get a decent set of MCA coilovers for <$4k.....? As to the strut tops. 1st up, the Sparesbox site specifically tells you that they are not correct for an R33. Beyond that, why do you think you need them?
    • That's not very Toyota of the Toyota!
    • Bringing an old thread back to life Looking to put some new front shocks in the r33Gtst and the KYB still look ok for a road car. Unless there are any other options aroind that price $200 a shock?  I’d like to replace the strut tops also, is this the correct KYB no. For the strut top, KSM7124?  https://www.sparesbox.com.au/products/kyb-strut-top-mount-ksm7124?srsltid=AfmBOoq-HDru8wSlLnQrhU9gCw_uYdKg8gUQzONY-EQOdnI5iXOWEUjY 341287 appears to be the front KYB shocks part no.  thanks all
    • LandCruiser used to get a fluid flush every 12 to 18 months.   Only because it was about that often the electric motor on the master for brake assist kept dieing and needing to come off.
