hey guys.can the rb25det neo bolt on the rb30.the pdf file states the water gallieries dont line up and that the combustion chambers are smaller.can anyone confirm this.if using the rb26 head will there be any negative effects using rb25 headbolts instead of drill n tapping for the larger rb26 headbolts.is it realy nessasary to use the crank collar if reving to a max 7200rpm.

the vct feed and neighbouring water gallery need to be welded in the head to suit the 30 block.

25 head bolts are fine for a mild motor

crank collar isnt needed but its a good idea

so the r33 rb25det and r34 rb25det neo are the same only diff is the neo head got solid lifters.

The combustion chambers are smaller on the neo and there are quite a few differences inside, highly recommend keeping the VCT

no more than the S1/S2 rb25 from what I've heard, quite a few people have done it.

The only straight bolt on heads are RB25DE (R32) and RB26.
