I had this kit for sale about 12 months ago and a friend grabbed it off me for his R32. The direction of his build has changed and no longer will be using it....so back up for sale.

Firstly some pics of the turbo...

The below dyno is on my std RB20, std inlet and cams, head etc. Unopened engine. This was a track tune so there is another 10-15rwkws in it of you have a built motor, an RB25 that can spin it easier or you are only driving on the street so never stress the engine with high heat and loads like you get at the track

The manifold and gate came off my car when i replaced it with a 6boost manifold. I was expecting improvements in reponse and power with the 6boost but in reality the Greddy manifold appears to have offered slightly better performance. It does have small hairline crack on one of the hard to access welds, it has been this way for a while and never got worse or affected performance or was audible.

Regarding the turbo, I purchased it off yahoo about 18 months ago. To the best of my knowledge it runs no problem, but I personally have not run it. I purcahsed it as it is an L2 version of the TD06 and I currently run a plain TD06 version. People claim the L2 is more responsive but I never bothered to find out. The plan was to have the turbo rebuilt with a ball bearing core to see if it offered an improvement in performance over my current setup...but after the 6boost manifold, plazmaman plenum install all of which cost me money and for the resultant loss in performance....i cant be stuffed with more experimenting,

So all up for sale, asking $1850. Kit is currently at friends place in Brisbane, can post to metro major cities for about $60-80

Makes for a bargain 320rwkws turbo package. Seems to work well on an RB25, would not relaly hit full boost to 5,000rpm on an RB20 but would make 290-300rwkws

Well the TD06-20G in 3rd and 4th gear is hitting 18psi wel before 4,200rpm. On an RB24 it would be better but still not really getting up and going before 4,500rpm. All RBs only boogie after 4,500rpm, irrespective of what turbos are doing before hand. (IMO)

The T67 is a popular RB24 turbo. Just about all the RB24s you see coming our of Japan have T67s strapped to them so that suggests they are a resonably well proven recipe

    • Yep that's pretty much what I want to see. Racecars that look and sound like the Group A but with newer tech underneath to make them faster and safer. I'm sure there's enough VK-to-VN commodore, E30 BMWs and Foxbody mustangs shells around to make up a decent number of cars with hopefully a couple of sierras, rx7 and R31s in there too.
    • Contact Jessestreeter.com/Skevas Racing/JustJap for a new r34 rb gearbox or go a cd00# conversion. No point playing with unknown condition gearboxes.
    • Such a shame places like Amaroo Park have been redeveloped, smaller tracks always make for good racing. Cheers for sharing @PranK there's some good Lakeside video's too. Its so hard with older the cars as parts are so rare and everything was made for a particular chassis at that point in time. Even the V8 Supercar Blueprint era cars are all different between each chassis within a team as they learnt things and made improvements. The COTF cars between each Chassis builder is different too especially motor/oil systems/intakes. The Group A stuff is worth so much too especially chassis with good history. The only way to do it would be composite panels and similar engine drivelines to the original cars. Ford sierra running Focus RS driveline, Commodore running a short stroke LS/LT or a Falcon with coyote and a H Pattern dog box. Could use a standard ecu across all models with a Torque Map and DBW for parity which is not even used in Supercars currently. Hell a TCM is almost a full chassis car these days and the suspension is not even close to standard style in the front running cars.
    • Dashcams Australia (13/05/25) captured JDMHSE (Vic plate) being a right tosser.
    • Wish someone would start a racing series for Group A replica cars, a bit like Touring Car Masters but for 1985 onwards and not grandpa's falcon and/or Monaro. I know they race in some historic class but that's for original cars, no replicas allowed.
