Step 1 - decide on desired power outputs any said clutch would be expected to handle

Step 2 - consider use of vehicle (track/drag/street)

Step 3 - pm the clutch hookup guru of these forums.

Hint: anagram of Mazda.

Step 5: high rpm launches at next track day

it would probably help if you put up your power levels, and use of the car.

i've got a Jim Berry 'Montyzilla' in my 32 GTR and it handles 350+kw and is still soft on the pedal and has good progressive engagement (for car park speeds)

i spoke with Jim and from what he told me the STD flywheel is better than the lightened ones because it doesnt make engagement so snappy, has something to do with the weight and the rotational force?

for a street car you probably want a sprung centre clutch too, so you're not smashing through the gears so hard.

from my experiences i've had the extreme clutch kit, 6 puk with stronger pressure plate and lightened flywheel.

had it for around 2 years at 210kw and had it repadded, lasted about another year and 1 trackday and it was slipping. wasnt happy then i sent it to Jim Berry and he repadded it, changed the pressure plate fingers and i went to a STD flywheel and its the best its ever been. had it for just under a year and 1 track day use.

Pete you should give the NPC twin plate some consideration awesome clutches and good value straight off the shelf it will hold 400 is and can be talor made

Mark Jacobson runs one in his 1000hp drag gtr and in the event you need a rebuild later will be hundreds of dollars cheaper than a nismo

I don't mind spending money on quality parts especially when they have such a solid reputation as the nismo clutch does.

This! /thread

I have one, f**king fantastic, best clutch I've ever used and takes a whooooole lot of shit. Easy as piss to drive too

Is that 2k with the lightened flywheel? even so that's good value for a twin plate let alone anything nismo
