Hi guys

Just wondering what peoples experience with window tinting has been in Brissy? I'm looking into getting tints for my R34 coupe and wondering what others have paid? I am in Toowoomba but would make the trip for a reasonably priced and good quality outfit in brissy.

Cheers

they charge by the cars size no what car it is...

ie. a small hatch is cheaper than a sedan, which in turn is cheaper than an SUV/4WD...

so they charge a coupe the same as a sedan as it has similar sizes windows...

start at like $199, go up to about $399 depending on what you want...

will need to leave it with them for 3-4hours, good bit about strathpine is there is a cinema right across the road...

so drop it off and go watch a movie, done!

I'm looking for this at the moment.

My mechanic said during this time of the year (colder/winter) you should be able to negotiate a $100 for a decent and good tint - That is if you are willing to ring around and get them to compete.

My brother got his CLK done about a year ago with really nice tint for around $150... they originally quoted him $350 until he called around and got them competing.

So I might start tomorrow and call around - See what I can do (r34 as well).

I'll let you know how I go - Would be good if you can let me know what you come up with as well.

Are you looking in twmba or brissy? If you can get it for $150 i'll make the trip. Perhaps they will do us a deal for 2

Hey Clint, give Peter Steer a ring. He does tinting up here in Toowoomba. We use him at work when we replace glass and it needs to be tinted.

Also had a chat to one of the painters about your rims, he said he charges around $250 to paint them if they have been prepped if not around the $300-$350

What sort of money does Peter steer charge, Chris?

Its definitely an option, Richie. If you get a quote that is cheap enough I would be keen.

Not really sure I'll ask the guys at work tomorrow who have him do their cars what it cost them

Hey Clint,

Just got this reply via email

"Not a worry mate, if both cars are done at the same time, you will be looking at $400 for both.. Providing no existing film has to be stripped"

This is from "Show off ya tints".

If we go in together its $400 for both.

He has also said, if by any chance we do get a cheaper quote, he will see if he can match and beat it.

My 34 has an in-glass tint. It's very light. I'm assuming this is what you have
