Skyline Box Strength

so im looking at my new project and im thinking bout the gearbox, ultimaly would like to run a tremec but most of the buget is for everything else lol. how would a skyline gearbox handle 500-800 hp? im think piece of piss due to the number some people get, but i dont know of these people personaly to ask question like this

any help would be great

I have heard that the gearbox inside skylines are indestructable. Not sure what sort of power they can handle though.

From memory a GTR gearbox (Factory Stock) can take up to about 500 kW's.

The clutch is a different story

IIRC People here tend to start to have trouble with 3rd gear from about 500hp. Checkout the Drivetrain section.

there is quite a difference between the two.

RWD you should be fine.

GTR - expect to break a box(s) above 360-380rwkw. Not everyone does, but it most certainly can happen.

R34 GTR Getrag 6 speed will hold that power no worries; hence why I picked one up.
