so the best way is to combine cooling mod and swirl tank) i told to my mechanic, he told we will weld custom tank before the summer, to put it conviniently and high in room. now it's time for winter

Great result tonight with the tune, these things throw out some torque let me tell you. Cihan was stressing about the rods when he saw it was putting out more torque than the 470wkw Supra he just tuned.

Ran the GTX up to 25psi, falling to 21 by redline. The boost snaps on even with the 1.06 housing. We had to stop there as I blew a cooler hose clamp and the 1000's were at 85% duty. There was still plenty left in the turbo...

The car drives amazing even though the power wasnt much better than before. (Perhaps the manifolds are holding me back?) :whistling:

You can clearly see the throttle closing at the top above 6500, not sure why. Redline is 7600 but the ecu is too damn smart. F-con will be the next mod I think. :cheers:

I don't think the 3.5 is needed anymore, the 2.5 is plenty for me for now. :)

I put stock V35 8 inch rims on for the stealth look, with crappy Blue Streak tyres. The sidewalls flex like jelly compared to the KU36's.

wow! thats an awesome result! Well done mate! I cant imagine what 1000nm of torque feels like! Love the stealth look too - but damn those wheels are clean!

Thats not engine torque its tractive effort. But it would still have a heap of torque.

Nice work Scotty. Sounds like a decent improvement, even the though the dyno sheets don't make it obvious (to me at least) so well done :thumbsup: .

Apparently the dyno wasnt run in correction mode back when I tuned the old highflow, it was running around 10% correction last night so it was a 30kw gain on the last turbo which is why Ironpaw was having issues getting the same power. It is definitely an improvement but I cant use it due to the noise. :whistling:

Hmm I thought I wasn't getting the same power cause I was only running 17 psi?

Perhaps, I have no idea. I ran mine on the same dyno but before Cihan bought it so it could have been set up wrong. Only way to tell is to ramp yours up I guess. :)

      Haha actually I did join back then under a different email address,  I couldn't re-activate my account so made a new one! I didn't post much anyway so not missing out on much. Amazing to see how the value of the cars and parts has changed over the years, also ACT section appears to be dead now.

      Thanks... It's in pretty good condition overall, probably due to not being drifted/tuned however being a daily driver has taken its toll. Had 100k on the clock when I got it, up to 180k now. Unfortunately it's not 100% dent free, it's got a small dent on FLH side and broken indicator from where I hit a small kangaroo at high speed. If you look at closely at pic #5 you might spot the dodgy trailer light repair my old man and I rigged up as temporary repair! - It's still there due to a combo of needing the car as daily driver and then too lazy/busy to fix properly. I've a couple of other minor accidents accidents as well but nothing major. One required a new front bar and unfortunately the smash repairer ordered the normal gtst one and not the aero bar. Needed the car back asap so just went with it, regretted ever since.

      I can't believe that anyone is foolish enough to believe that the base maps are for any other purpose than to drive the car up onto the trailer/truck or gently creep it to the dyno. No matter how good they are, they can never be any better than the factory maps**, and only the foolish trust those on a significantly modified setup. **Yeah, yeah. I know there's also the difference between factory maps being fixed to certain injector sizes and MAP/AFM/VE relationships, and the likely aftermarket ECU base maps being better able to handle the sorts of changes that would render a stock ECU dangerous, like different sized injectors. But let's just ignore that for the moment, because the principle is still the same.
