Hey I just purchased a cusco brake cyclinder stopper and yes i know it's simple to fit but I'm wondering what is the point of the nut in between the brake cylinder and the stopper? and how tight do I tighten up the bolt? Here is a translation for the installation instructions numbered 1 to 5. I am not not sure what they are talking about in step one so I put a few translation options in - should be a lot easier to tell what they are when you look at the car. I take no responsibility for these translations being correct or any damage you may do blah blah blah. Hopefully another poster can confirm them too. If you need any other parts of the sheet translated let me know.

1) Disassemble the mekura/blind plugs/bolts/corks/bungs/stoppers in front of the master cylinder (there are two on the fender).

2) Slightly tighten the BCS body using the two M6x16 bolts.

3) Put the locknut in the BCS body's welded nut and slightly tighten the adjustment/modification bolt.

4) Affix the adjustment/modification bolt and the pointed end collar (shown as 先端カラー in the picture) to the brake master cylinder and then tighten the adjustment/modification bolt .

5) Properly tighten all slightly tightened bolts.

It is a bracket that is mounted on the strut tower with a screw that presses against the master cylinder. This stops the master cylinder from flexing the firewall under hard braking. It gives a firmer/more responsive brake pedal feel.

As a point of interest VLs have pretty much the same thing fitted as standard (they have a bracket bolted from the strut tower to the master cylinder). Refer to the pic below. I miss my wagz :(

sounds like something you would only need when on the track

not really. Go get someone to press on you brake pedal and watch the firewall flex. Does it every time you hit the pedal.
