Hi guys. Noob question again, but no slamming please.....

I'm trying to tap into the boot light wiring for my led strip that I'm going to install into my boot for a bit more light, but I'm not exactly sure if it's 100% safe to hard wire the strip's wiring to the bootlight wiring. Can anyone enlighten me on this? any info is much appreciated.

Being LED it wont draw much current so wont be an issue. Either tap into the positive and negative and run to the LED strip, or cut the wires and connect them to your strip if you dont want to utilize the original lighting.

two ways of doing it:

remove the original light and tap your new one in place or find the pink wire coming off the boot lid and tie the erath side of your LED strip to that and the other side to +12v.

both methods willl work find and as fro current issues - no problem. there is a 10A feed back there to the light.
