I'm in no way a novice DIYer. Most of my job is custom fabrication.

The high pressure actuator gives in stable boost as the wastegate is held open.

There is no vacuum out put on the turbo outlet so I have used the nipple on the next piece of pipe to the intercooler.

Next point. It's got 6mm of preload because that's all the thread that's on there, at 3mm preload it barely had any boost.

I can make them run what ever psi its required for the application. I was under the impression that you are using it for 250rwkws application so the original high pressure actuator was made and adjusted to suit.

If you can make no boost with actuator adjusted to certain degree means the waste gate setup is perfectly working. At 6mm pre-load means you've already pulled out half of the actuation length then the 14psi creep then drops to 7psi is predictable.

Ultimately it defeat the purpose of building this turbo, I'm looking forward to see you running high pressure actuator with supporting mods making that 250rwkws that you originally ask for. I’ll be happy to supply you with tunning maps if required.

noticed a s1 260 (dunno if it's real)on boostcruising for sale in brissie for $11,000 recently, needed a little bit of work apparently?

ps who knows it might be a real steal.

Guys, let's please keep it on topic.

Thankyou!!

I would of loved to buy a GTR R34. But why would I when:

1) I cant comfortably put the wife and two young kids in it comfortably.

2) Have limited storage in the boot

3) have a much higher purchase price.

4) and also a high cost on insurance.

I love my 260RS. Very practical, not many people know what it is (sleeper), basically its the best of everything!!

as much as i love the stagea, i have to disagree, my favorite of all time is still the Audi RS2, will win just about anything hands down (and also cause im building one but in a coupe shell :P)

I come from the north of scotland and there are quite a few RS2s up there, one guy has a 700+bhp one and its crazy. I used to have a 2.8 quattro coupe, 94 model.

    • Throwing my spoon to the soup here a bit.  When I installed a 044 back in 2012, along with the direct power mod, the car became very difficult to start. To a point I burned one starter motor as I was late for work and tried to get the thing going. With some tuning and careful use of gas pedal when cranking it became bearable. Trying to make this short as possible, but the 044 died after 2-3 years, after which I went with an AEM 320lph pump, which also died after about 4 years to my dismay. After that I went with a Nismo pump, and while trying diagnose an emissions problem, I noticed for the first time that my fuel pressure was 5bar/72psi on idle, and that removing the vacuum line did nothing. After monitoring the situation, and removing the direct power feed and going back to FPCM in attempts to remedy it, I noticed there was fuel in the pressure regulator vac line. Kept the FPCM, installed AEM external regu and the car became sooo much better in every way, including starting. And I had driven it like it was for 11 years.. Anyway, I agree these are likely two different problems, and the FP problem you just haven't noticed before. I do not know much about haltecs, but what first came to mind was the CAS, which probably is not there any more. So how is the wiring from haltec to gauge cluster? How is the battery voltage and alternator?
    • Your car was auto before? You have different diff ratio (auto vs manual i think? or n/a and turbo?)
    • +1 for getting a screen off alibaba, CarPlay/Android Auto is vastly better than whatever navigation cars had 10 years ago. I got an Android screen for my 2015 BMW, huge difference. Fully compatible with factory stuff including iDrive controls.
