Mystery Plug In Console

Hi Team. I bought my V25 '05 coupe with a mystery plug on an extendable cable in the console. I suspect it's for a mobile phone and that it's wired to the sound system or, at a minimum, to power for charging. It has some Japanese writing in the side, but I don't read Japanese. Anyone able to advise me what it says or does anyone recognise the cable connection?

Apologies for the poor photo quality, but hopefully adequate for the purpose.

Yep. And if I can find out which it's for, I could track down a cabling schematic (like on pinouts.ru) and rewire for something else perhaps. I'm more comfortable doing that than ripping the console apart to direct wire - I'll leave that stuff up to Chris Rogers..

Yep - that's the plug alright. Thanks. Thread ends without anyone having success using it. Shame.

Yes it just ends with no solution...I have found this on a US site...looks like an Iphone converter..

yes, but different interface. Now, if only there was a cable to connect from the 'standard' '05 interface to the 'standard' '07 interface, I'd be laughing...

No. But response from the team on this matter was better that I expected. At least I now know that some others have it too, even if there's not much that can be done with it...
