How To Time A Rb20

hi the rb20 det i bought has the cas loose and moving arround. is there a mode you have to put it in to time it? what should the timing be?

nope, just put the cas in the right spot and set to 15 degrees BTDC

ok but how do i seing i cant use a timing light as mine clips over the plug lead and i have no leads

you can hook it onto the wire going into the coilpack, but with some timing lights doing this makes it read double for some reason. most reliable method is to unbolt the 1st coilpack from the cradle and put a lead between it and the spark plug then hook the light onto that.
