Hey guys,

Unfortunately the time has come to sell my 1992 LS400. sadface.

I had plenty of dreams and aspirations to mod it VIP Style, but due to discovering a leak from the head gasket - which was discovered a couple of days after I purchased the car - and the CV joints (i think) needing replacement soon, PLUS! a bodged-up ankle surgery, I havent got the funds on hand to repair it. I still drive this as a daily to and from work which is around 10km each way.. and the occasional trip to sydney and back.. and always keeping an eye on the oil/water.

I'm not 100% sure on the extent and exactly the details of the head gasket issue, but having 2 shops look at it, they gave me around $2k - $3k ballpark figure to have it fixed.

The best/cheaper option would be to drop a new 1UZ in there.. or whatevs.

Other than that MAJOR issue, the interior is MINT!

I would love to see it repaired and get it where it should be. Otherwise, I will probably just drive it to the ground.

$2000

150,xxx km

Two-tone silver/grey

Moonroof

Blue leather interior (excellent condition! Currently have seat covers on them to save them as much as I can)

Previous owner had the 100k service done:

Major service performed including 8 Iridium plugs again with the bank loan

Timing belt & Waterpump anyone with experience with a 1uz will tell you this is a kent of a job & well requires a small bank loan lol.

Twin Tig welded 2 1/4 inch exhaust fitted with aftermarket cats, still has 4 mufflers so quiet at idle but opens up nicely under load.

KYB shocks & King Low shocks fitted

NRMA battery the thing could start a truck.

4 BF Goodrich tyres fitted in the last ~1800km

Rear brake pads machined last month

Car has factory climate control aircon (LCD screen running)

6 stacker CD player, factory first aid kit & original Lexus Tool Kit, spare tyre has never been used or the cigarette lighter.

Drivers seat & steering wheel showing signs of age but still better then most imported Celsiors I have seen. Ie the seat is not torn and comes up ok with a bit of leather polish the rest of the interior is mint.
