I bought an R33 gtst series 1 about a month ago and i would like to remove the "defect me" signs that are currently mounted in an A pillar gauge pod.

Two Blitz gauges, boost and oil pressure.

There doesn't seem to be an easy answer other than, just rip them out and leave them out.

I didnt buy this car with the intention of spending alot of money on it and turning it into my pride and joy, i might get an R34 to fill that role later on, so getting something custom made to fit down low in the dash below the headunit or where the ash tray currently sits might be going a bit far.

I havent seen anything online for the R33.

If you have gauges , where did you put them ?

I've got my tempreture gauge under the dash next to the steering wheel. It came like that and I might move it to where the ashtray sits now. Only question is, where arm I going to put my spare change

grab a stubby cooler and put it in the console, great for spare change.

got my boost gauge mount on the shroud behind the steering wheel so it covers the stock one in the dash i moved it there as it was covering the oil pressure gaufe took me 2 seconds and looks really good

Ive already got one in there holding my sunnies. I was thinking about some how relocating it to the glovebox. Could be kinda cool

That's not a bad idea, I'll have a look at that.

yeah it gives a whole fast n furious feel to it lol

na i was actually watchin some drift vids on u tube n saw it and thought it looked good but as it sits low in the car it cant be seen from out side by h/w patrols goin past me so it looks like the car is untouched ; D

Same. Mine doesn't block anything, it sits just off to the right

yeah mine was just off to the right but on a crap little stand thingy

so hacked that off and stuck just the gauge itself there

now it sits heaps lower n dont block anything

I made a little facial plate from black MDF board to cover the ash tray hole, used a hole saw on it and slid the boost gauge in. Its low, no extra holes in the car or needing of those ugly silver holder cups! ;)

Ive been thinking, I could probably get another fascia for about $50 if i stuff it up, so i will have a look at where i can fit the gauges in the fascia itself.

By removing the clock for example, will have a look around and see what i come up with.

If not then mounted to the steering column will be my second choice i think.

Any pics you guys have would be good to see aswell

ill get a pic of my gauge mounted under my dash next to the steering wheel, just to show you its not very pretty. if u have the time put it somewhere nice or get a nice holder i rekon. unless your going for the skid/drift pig minded person minded person look. or if you like the raw look of it hha

under the dash........ that would be be impractical and look f#*king stupid

yer it was already there when i got the car, its not too impractible, its pretty easy to see, just doesnt look "finished"

I took my gauges off the pillar today and tried them in a few different spots to see how they look.

At first i liked this one but now it just looks wierd

Out of the places i tried i think this one is probably the best, I dont love it, not by a long shot.

They will be just stuck there with double sided tape,,, bodgey as bro.

But at least they'll be a little less conspicuous.

Any of you guys reading this have the same gauges by any chance ?
