What Oil

I like shell helix as a cheaper oil, or even some of the valvoline stuff is quite cheap and goes at a good price.

what do you guys think of penrite and castrol?

Valvoline Durablend 10w40 is fine for an N/A RB25.

my mechanic used to use valvoline 15w 40 engine armour that was fine as well

amsoil is the real deal.do the research .check out oil evaluator.not all oils represented but gives you a good idea.their nano filters both oil and air are also Tops.

I work at Repco and Barbagallo raceway on the weekends, I've only ever heard bad things about castrol and valvoline oils, and most of our trade customers swear by Penrite oils. after what i've heard i'll never again put castrol oils through my engine...

I use penrite SIN range on my car too.

At barbagallo I only ever seem to see empty Motul or Penrite bottles...

All that said, i'm still yet to see a convincing piece of real world evidence that one oil is better than others, just stories from mates of mates etc...
