R33 Problems

Hi i recently bought a 1994 R33 4door skyline and for some reason the middle vents of the air cooler/heater don't push out any air?

Also when i set the climate control to 32 degrees it still blows out cold air?

Are these easy fixes?

there is a dial to the right hand side of the vents, try turning that and see what happens.

as for the cold air when turned to 32 degrees, firstly, is the car up to temp when you do it? if not then that is the problem, since it uses the coolant to heat up the air. might be worth also checking that the coolant lines are stilling running into the heater box (check for 2 hoses running through the firewall on the passenger side of the engine bay). these often get disconnected if the heater box starts to leak. finally, do a search on here for the air con diagnosis thread.

yea the dial is set open and when i open it up i can see the little flap thingy inside the vent opening up so im guessing a hose is not installed or something?

Also i checked the temp after having the car running for 20 minutes and its still cold.

my sisters xar dont have em n gers doesnt work ( obviously) but a red light comes on on the dash

You just need to pull the dash out and replace the heater core.
