Need this in Sydney, sounds great.

One question though, what happens when a street car with a half cage enters, the rear seats must be removed for engineering it, is it still classed as street if the engineering cert is supplied.

Thanks Mark.

Thanks mir, we are looking forward to another big year for this event.

If rear seats are out it will be in performance class. As a general rule, guys don''t usually have a totally stock car that happens to have a roll cage. Rules are always hard to make and never fit every case. We tried to get a set of rules that define a class of car, there will always be a few exceptions though !

Says nothing about being stock

The Tyres must be DOT and ADR approved.

All OEM Tyres (This includes the factory RE070 supplied by Subaru for the STI's)

The tyre tread wear rating must be 140 or above.CHECK

The exhaust must be rear exiting with no screamer pipes.CHECK

The car must be road registered.CHECK engineered

Must have OEM glass.CHECK

Must have OEM doors.CHECK

Must have OEM full dash.CHECK

Must have all seats in the vehicle. (aftermarket seats allowed) ADR approved front seats (R34GTR)

Must have full interior in the car. Not allowed to be stripped out. ??? you need to remove rear seats/belts for engineering compliance

Must not have in cabin adjustable brake bias or pedal box.CHECK

By this I could have a modified vehicle as long as it fits in the above, my reasoning is that my car is registered and enginneered but does have a roll cage for extra safety, hence removal of the rear seats.

Come to Sydney and Ill have a go at it of course but I feel the rules have got some holes that could be looked at, ie harness use without cage? safety?.

Wish I could be there for this it sounds awesome.

Mark.

thats a shame nod. Lakeside is a better track there is no doubt about that but if you want to see the gun cars you need to be at qr. lakeside noise restrictions mean you never get to see the field that attends qr. some of them are mega hp cars too so what better place to watch them stretch their legs than the paper clip.

Me, Ill run any track any time. A bad day at qr still beats a good day at work.

Before I start, it is a fantastic event and well done to all involved. I hope it goes well for everyone and continues well into the future.

A good powerful car being driven well is an awesome sight, especially at lakeside. There is almost no better place to showcase a cars true potential, Morgan Park perhaps. Big power with some awesome turns of speed now on the track extension makes Morgan even more of an all round track testing the holy trinity of performance. Power, Agility and Braking. I saw an all white V8supercar team testing out there 3 weeks ago. On the wed before Noosa hill. The buggers locked the gate on the public test day.

If I want to see a big $$$$ wallet racer stretch some legs, I'll go to the drags. QR is as close as a race track can get to a drag strip, so I guess it stands to reason for its location. As for a day at QR better than a day at work, even with a feast of fantastic cars to see, Not for this Black Sheep. For the amount of extra work and grief that goes into me taking a day away from work, not even close to worth it. Sorry

There are some top runners booked in already, expecting to see lots of great action on the day.

The PM AWD Shoot Out is booked out, just wish there were a few more Nissans to run in the AM session to fill the day up.

Presuming that all of these cars actually make it there in time I think it will be.

Looking forwards to seeing them all in action and hoping to catch up with a few old faces as well.
