Hesitation On Boost @ Part Throttle

Hi guys,

I have an ECR33 with very minor mods (exhaust, I/C, metal intake, 10psi actuator, splitfire coils, bosch 040)

It will run fine at WOT out to redline at 10psi with no hesitation whatsoever

However, under part throttle at low revs the boost comes up and it surges/ hesitates like it is hitting a boost cut.

It mostly happens when I change gears and get back on the gas = frustrating

I have cleaned the AFM with AFM cleaner and checked all the hoses/clamps. It has NGK BCPR6ES at standard gap.

Anyone have any other ideas of what it might be?

try lowering your gap to 0.8mm

Factory BOV- I have put a grub screw in the breather hole though.

Might try some fresh plugs

Is the BOV still plumbed in?

After you try the plugs, try putting the BOV back to standard.

I had similar reversion when I first put a grubscrew in mine, it only happened on that tune, all later tunes got rid of it somehow. Remove the grubscrew and see if it gets better.

stock ecu?

the stock ecu has a lot of protection to restrict people increasing boost (like yourself)

do you not have a piggyback or remap?

Grub screw can cause a slight surge on light openings. I would pull it out since it is a 10minute job and see what happens.
