I wish......

it has a single mechanical fan. everything that affects cooling has been replaced except for water pump and head gaskets.... water pump is on order but wont have time to swap it til after the meet. it runs fine in the city so i'll just live with it for now and maybe install a housing without a thermostat til then

while the thermostat is off i should be able to drop a snake cam into the motor and have a look at the pump's fins

Your water pump is ok mate, thats the simplest stuff under time chain case. The problem could be air in system or radiator. Have you relised the air from screw-valve which is almost behind the engine?

Anyway manual says that water pump can be changed without taking chain case off but you will have to play with crankshaft pulley and marks. Also you will get two O-rings with water pump and one of them should come with white double stripe that has to be installed first.

managed to do a 24 hour strip down and rebuild of timing and cooling. car will be on the road for saturday but not confident about a hills cruise..... should be able to make it to the lunch..... unless i have another drama

cmon TUFF_350 ... who has an engagement party on a Saturday afternoon? You were pre-booked to come to the inaugural V35 meet. Please don't make this meet-up like every other SAU public event where everyone says they are coming then bitches out at the last minute cos something better comes up

I've done it recently. Changed all chains, tensioners and guides plus VTC muffs and covers. That's big job.

Yes I let about 20 owners know about the cruise. Ive said to them they should look at joining the club for more events and discounts. Also meet people with same interests. Hope you get a good turn out like the Stagea cruises. Wish to see plenty of photos

Well we had a pretty good turnout for our V-Series SA gathering.

Big to everyone that came along, with a special mention to Munro for making an apperence in his R35 GTR.

It was great to meet everyone and get some ideas & tips, we will have organise some future events.
