AAC valve replacement

I know that many rb engines suffer from a stalling problem when they come of rev's with a/c on or lights. I believe the problem is to be a fault in the AAC valve.

Was just wondering how many people have had success fixing the problem by refitting a new AAC valve.

Probably very few, Apparantly they are a matched unit and cost around $600 new. I have just developed this problem....it's a real pain, however my heel and toe technique is improving daily

Matched unit, I talked to the guy down @ zoom the otherday he said he could get one in for i think it was about 80. But that would of not been matched I gues. Why does have to be matched, dont they have an adjustment bolt on the side, for idle or are there other problems that come to play.

The AAC hv 2 motors(u could found 2 plugs). 1 is normal idle & the other is fast idle which for A/C & Steering. The upper 1 may faulty lead stall....

Usualy they only need a clean as they get a carbon build up. Also you may find the Aussie RB30 one fits

sounds like mine too... can anyone confirm RB30 AAC valve will work well with RB25?

I cleaned mine out with carby cleaner seems to idle a hell of a lot smother now, but I never had the stalling issue, mine is a Auto.

Eyeballed the VL motor last week it appears to be a totally different setup

With the air conditioner the idle control for that is controlled by the FICD (Fast idle compensating device ) which is right at the back of the plenum, it has a single spade plug and is a hexaganal shape.

This is off an RB20 from the r32.

The whole unit is the IAA unit it has on it, the AAC Valve (this controls general load) the bronze coloured round unit with two pins and also the FICD unit right on the back of it, (This controls the load of the Air conditioner)
