the only weakness in any skyline is the clown in the drivers seat that insists on making it faster, sexier, louder, etc!!! oh and the plastic exhaust impeller that likes to turn into powder when given curry at higher boost settings!! and the fact that the rear tyres wear quickly..... Oops, no thats the driver again!

Aww.. what is wrong with making it faster and sexier? *Hugs the car* :)

Hrmm. pastic exhast impeller? I was told (from memory) that the 34s has steels ones while the older generations has ceremic ? Correct me if I'm wrong ;)

As to the rear tyre. well I do drive like gramps.. heheh :)

My personal experience with a series 2 r33, that was running 1.2 bar for 3 months saw the exhaust impeller shatter and take up residence in the front of the Catylitic converter in granule form. The replacement unit was the same with a steel inlet impeller and plastic exhaust impeller. I may be mistaken in thinking that 34's have the same design...... I have not removed a turbo from one personally.

I can, however, tell you with absolute certainty that the earth is flat and Renault engines are the best thing to happen to nissan......:stupid:

    • Hi all, I am putting an r33 gtst gearbox into a VL and have noticed what looks like a vacuum barb on the box (on top in the middle). Suspecting that it's a vacuum line but I'd like to double check, if someone could confirm the function of that would be great. Cheers in advance.
    • I’d love to find some where that can recover the dashes to look brand new and original. Mine has a very slight bubble, nothing compared to some I’ve seen though
    • $170K. I asked one of the guys there as a joke if that price was just for the passenger seat as it was where the price sheet was... he tried really hard to crack a smile 😄 He also mentioned that every single part of the car was inspected and either restored or replaced with a new or as new part, or made from scratch. The interior was incredible, every inch like a new car.
    • Time for a modernisation, throw out the AFM, stock O2s, ECU into the e-waste bin. Rip out the cable throttle, IACV, pedal, etc. into the scrap metal bin. DBW, e-throttle, modern ECU, CANbus wideband, and the thing will drive better than when it left the factory.
    • I agree, don't go trusting those trims. As I said, first step is to put the logger away, and do the basics in diagnosis.   I spend plenty of time with data loggers. I also spend plenty of time teaching "technicians" why they need to stop using their data loggers, and learn real diagnostics.   The amount of data logs I play with would probably blow most people away. I don't just use it to diagnose. I log raw CAN data too, as a nice chunk of my job is reverse engineering what automotive manufacturers are doing.
