Just bought myself a 32 gtst, and even though the owner said it had been recently serviced, not taking any chances. Looking at doing a thorough service on it. Pads and rotors still in good condition so they dont need doing. Car has done 175,xxx k's so im not going to do the water pump etc this service, save that for 200,000 service.

  • Engine Oil
  • Gearbox Oil
  • Diff Oil
  • Brake Fluid
  • Power Steering Fluid
  • Fuel Filter
  • Oil Filter

Im just looking for reccomendations on what oils to use, specifically for the gearbox and diff, what do nissan reccomend for them? Cant find any info about that.

For engine probably just use Nulon 10w-40.

Also anyone got a workshop manual with how much oil to use and etc, much appreciated! And i heard that you should overfill RB20's with 1 litre more oil than reccomended, any truth to that?

Thanks (:

pretty sure that thread, and simons response was for someone that wanted to take their car out drifting and related to engine oil, where the oil would move around in the sump. Over filling the car can sometimes mean the crank will be swimming in the oil, churning it causing it to go foamy and get full of air bubbles. Air bubbles do not pass through bearings well, and would cause less oil to reach the top of the engine, thus resulting in lower oil pressure, and worn upper engine components and failed bearings. This can also be the case in other parts of the cars driveline for a normally driven car.
