Rolls
yep and overlap caused by a large duration exhaust cam vs advancing intake will do completely different things. Moodles2
No, since the original ECU is still retained. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/371467-power-fc-vs-nistune/page/11/#findComment-6286432 Share on other sites
bubba
Quick question ive got an auto r34 gt-t currently with safc II was looking to upgrade from that to a nistune, would there be any problems since its auto? NIStune is actually the only real solution for you if you want to remain auto. Torques
The only real difference between PowerFC and Nistune is that with Nistune you have a full blown PC-Interface and you can log/tune/store your maps on a laptop. That's why I bought Nistune. With PowerFC you need an additional add-on called DataLogit to have that kind of connectivity. PowerFC=Tried, tested and proved; fire and forget solution. Nistune=Better connectivity, a bit more hassle to install. Cheers Ok so im not gunna make any substantial power gains with a power fc then? Best off just keeping the nistune and getting it re-tuned when i get my injector and turbo upgrade then? Can i get some opinions of good RB25 tuners in sydney who can work wonders with my nistune? Missileman
Does P-FC also control auto shift points? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/371467-power-fc-vs-nistune/page/11/#findComment-6288385 Share on other sites
GTSBoy
No. No it doesn't. Hence bubba's post. PowerFC and auto are non-compatible. The Neo in particular is worse than even the R33 in that respect because there is no separate TCU that you could even hope to try to make work without the original ECU. The TCU is inside the ECU. A Grave Digger
sorry to drag up an old thread guys, but i was wondering if someone could help me. I purchased an R33 s1 about 6 months ago and have only just looked at the ecu this weekend. I googled the numbers on the ecu cause it had a sticker on it. according to other forums, its a 300zx ecu ( I assume this is a Z32 ecu). what mods can this support? i have 725cc injectors and a super t 70 i wanna put on the car. Also will i need to get a z32 afm? thanks guys Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/371467-power-fc-vs-nistune/page/11/#findComment-6540631 Share on other sites
