drivers window switch buggered

the drivers side window on my r33 wont open and i think its because the switch is stuffed. has anyone had this problem before and knows how to fix it (if i can actually do it myself?)

yes.. relatively common.

Usually just a dodgy solder joint with the wires. If you have a soldering iron and know how to solder probably a 5 min job. If you pull the whole thing out and wiggle the wires (and it works or doesn't) you should be able to see whether its a wiring problem.

I had dry joints in the control module in the door. Pull it off, locate the dry joins (mine were below a relay) and resolder them. Job done.

hey guys,

ive pulled the door apart and i am getting voltage up to the final connection before the motor on the outer part of the door. (hope that makes sense )

i connected the battery direcly up to the motor and that didnt wind the window down but im not sure if that would work anyway.

anyone able to help me here? im stuck
