as said above there is no way it could be S3.

Also it isn't just red stitching that sets them apart. projector headlights,rear fog light and a stronger gearbox (im sure someone has maybe some more to add to this).

Ah ok thanks guys..it also has 2 holes on the front bumper above the intercooler..thought that might indicate it could be a s3 coz some ive seen dont have it..correct me if im wrong

Those vents are a Nismo option or something James, not related to series. 95 will 100% be a Series 1

Can't remember if S3 got the holes but i just remembered the bottom lip on the front bar of an S3 is ABS plastic(iirc).

S3 have a much deeper front lip. they have dual airbags, they have the red stiching, they have projector headlights, they have the improved gearbox etc. they are almost all 1998 models. some 1997.

1995 is 100% series 1. no doubt about it.

the holes in the front bar are a popular option. some people fitted them, some didn't. they don't indicate anything.

* Narrowed distance between two piston rings. (Std: 1.5mm / N1: 1.2mm)

* Revised camshaft profile. (exhaust overlap: STD 0 degree / N1 5 degrees).

* Extra air intake on front bumper.

* Less intercooler net.
