We were chasing them the whole time they had the car but i dont know how this dent happened i believe they hit a bollard in the ground

Front bumper Damage from curb hopping

This was what was left of the rubber

Basically if someone could offer some suggestions as to what price range i would be looking at to fix it and any places that you would recommend to get the panels fixed and fan etc

I would need to replace all 4 wheels as they are badly dinged up

I live in Perth ( South Side)

If you need any extra info just add a reply as a will be watching the post like a hawk.

Sorry if i got this listed in the wrong thread i didn't know which one to choose.

**** 3 Grand is a bit, I am getting the car for 4500 so i suppose it still might be worth it.  Does anyone know what the fan is for, that i am missing?

And unfortunately they had a mate following them which they then bailed into his car when they crashed mine, I will give the full story when i get back from work :D

if its an electric fan that is missing then it will be for your air conditioner me thinks

do you have any info on the back up car, maybe someone spotted it. did you follow the car after or just run to your baby?

I'll have to leave out a far bit to make it sound as legal as possible :D

Ok so Sunday morning at 3:50am on the 10th I wakeup to the scream of my mum saying "Brock they're stealing your car!!!" So I jump up and then can hear my car over revving real hard then the sound of it skidding off down the street. So me and my dad (who is an ex-rally driver) jump into his car which is a Chrysler 300C Srt8 with a fair few mods (thank goodness because we only just kept up with mine). So off we go scooting around the side streets off down the main road and I think I see the flash of my rear brake lights turning down another main street so off we go (obeying all the speed signs of course :D )turn left down the next main road but no cars in sight so we continue down and then finally we see my car drifting out of a side road nearly hitting us and there mates behind them so I am hanging out the window and yell a few nice words at them but can't really see them because my windows are tinted. As soon as they see us they slam on the brakes and do a hard u-turn so we begin start turning around mid way through their friends accelerate hard towards our car then at the last second turn (I found that odd because I would of thought if it was stolen they would of hit us) But then again it looked too expensive for them to have purchased. So after that we go off ending after them ending up on the wrong side of the Tonkin hwy, armadale road, etc down side streets going 15-kms+ with the side passenger who appeared to be a really tall and buff kiwi throwing all my items at my car like (radar detector, Gps, Ipod holder, etc ) finally my front tire blew up, when they were doing a power drift and hit the side of a curb so I am telling the cops get the fk over here they are about to bail finally they go over a curb hit a bollard and a sign post saying "Welcome to armadale please drive safely" which actually made me laugh, went into a island stopped the car dead and bailed so I jump out and chase the driver who looked like a small aboriginal male and I see the kewi jump into their back up car and come to the side of our car and lean out with a golf stick and start hitting the side of our car knocking out the side window etc, the driver of my car also jumped into the backup car and took off the only reason we didn't chase them is we only had about 5km's worth of fuel left in our car so I ran over to my baby to check out the damage these pricks did 10 minutes later the cops turn up.

Through this whole ordeal I have the police on the line and I got to say they are dam pathetic I was on the line with them for near 25 minutes and finally spoke to a sergeant who was Indian and hardly spoke a word of English I was reading out sign posts when we were traveling downside streets and he hung up twice and said we will be there in 1 minute which was stupid because every 30 secs we changed street

I don't have exact details on the make of the car because we never went slowly and i was mainly watching my car but this is the best description i can give

IMG_3545.jpg

Though a lighter blue color

Lowered

Different rims

and what appeared to be a quad exhaust

This is pretty vague so it prolly wont help

Sorry to hear your car got stolen Jonathan i reckon it's the worse possible feeling. I hope you find your car.

This is the place where i reckon the fan is missing. When i found it on the floor it looked to be around 40 cm by 40 cm will swing by and pick it up tomorrow

the electric fan for the aircon goes slightly to the right and plugs into the brown plug hanging there. it kinda looks like part of the bracket is broken off and still bolted there at the bottom.

Some of the scratches and paint might come out with cut n polish. Also you can try bang the dent out behind the drivers door. Could you please take a photo of the ignition?

Ignition is fine they had the keys

Yeah trev your right it is the electric fan here are some pics looks like i will be best of buying a new one

Super Advans

sad to hear your car was stolen but atleast you still have it.

the dent in the rear quarter might pop out if your lucky, but you will need to take the interior out to see if you have access. if not it will come out at a professional crash repair shop. it also depends which type of method they use as they can use bodyfiller or they can metal file it. but it will need to be put back into primer and paint, the quarter window will have to come out and so will the side skirt and the rear tail light. since there are no roof mouldings there is a chance that that will have to paint the quarter panel but also clear the damaged panel but the roof and the other quarter aswell as there are no roof mouldings to separate them.

i can see how this damage may cost up to 3 grand but go around and see what they quote you.

hope this info helps as being in trade has its advantages sometimes

    • I'm firmly on the "zero compliance is good compliance" for FUCAs. I'd be looking to solid metal joints even if the primary reason for having them is because they facilitate the twist in the arm. I have never been more happy with the way the front suspension behaves than I have since I got rid of the FUCA bushes. Even the thin little (short lived) poly bushes in the Whiteline adjustables have too much compliance for my liking. It probably won't be long before I have sphericals nearly everywhere, probably including both top and bottom arms in the rear, and I'll start complaining about the increased costs for dental work. But I will be enjoying the driving more, I'm sure.
    • Plus, you'll get great experience in bedding in pads!
    • I have offset Nismo brackets so the fact the gktechs can pivot is less important to me. I have 170mm JIC arms with bushings - but they provide no adjustment and I'm not sure whiteline eccentric bushings will fit them (I don't want to ruin the bushings currently in them to find out). Ideally I want something with bushings + adjustment; hence why I'd like to find a pair of these. Unfortunately they aren't easy to find.
    • @Vee37 How much do you really care about finding these pads again? If your pads are quiet, work well and produce minimal dust, really isn't that enough? If you are set on finding the exact pads again, I suppose I'd do something like this -  Visit your local Jax, find out what brand of pads they carry. If the Jax workshop you previously went to had the pads on the shelf, then you can almost guarantee it will be of said brand.   I'm guessing you don't have the receipt for the previous work and pads. Can you visit a Jax workshop and see if they can look up your previous job to see what pads were fitted?  Still no luck? Put your stalker hat on, find the staff that used to work at the Jax store and ask them. Talk to local workshops, try to find out where the mechanics went to. Talk to Jax workshops, maybe they relocated to another workshop. When it comes to mechanics, its a small world. You'd be surprised how easy it is to track someone down. If these ideas don't work, shit will start getting crazy very quickly.... You could find out every brand and model of pad that fits that car... and try them individually ticking each off the list if it wasn't the one you were looking for.... If you go down this path your going to want to learn how to swap pads yourself, it is very easy, takes minimal tools and space. If you have room to park the car you have room to swap the pads. Plus you have the advantage of making sure all the brake hardware goes back in so they won't squeal!
