Good Mechanic In Melbourne

Hi guys,

New to this forum, pretty cool place Ive just got a couple questions, not sure if this is the right topic to be posting in, if not let me know ...

I bought an R34 GT-T (my first car) about 5 weeks ago. Have noticed in the last fortnight when the car is sitting idle, there are little jumps or jolts, like its skipping a beat for lack of a better term. Its not a massive jolt, they are just subtle vibrations but its enough for me to notice that its not right. And its not a constant thing either, it will run smooth for ten seconds and then it will jump or a couple seconds then stop etc. When you go out and listen to the exhaust you can hear it also, like its skipping a beat. Not really sure how to explain it. So leads to my questions:

1) Has anyone ever dealt with this before? What is it?

2) Anyone know any decent mechanics in Melbourne where i can go get this fixed? Or should i just take it to Nissan? Im located in the western suburbs.

You got a turbo car for your first car? Are you on your P's?

If you somehow managed to get an exemption to drive turbo cars on P plates, please tell me how!

probably just the usual things needed, plugs, coilpacks, etc.

There's chasers in the westside too, they seem to be pretty good with their RB's.
