Hey all i've had this car for about 6 months now and the entire time it has been on and off pouring out with white smoke from the exhaust pipe when idling!!

Here are the details:

1989 R32 GTS-t, RB20det, FMIC, 3' exhaust, catch can, greedy boost cont. (12psi)

Brought the motor with a blown headgasket blowing white smoke on idle and when i pulled the head off it had blown a hole through one of the exhaust valves and ruined the first piston bore..

-Tracked down a 76000k unflogged rb20, installed it transferring over:

-Intake manifold/injectors

-Turbo/manifold

-Rocker Covers

-Coilpacks and kept all the wiring and FMC, CAtch can etc. attatched

Ran motor in, still blowing white smoke on idle once warm :( Assumed the turbo was blown so installed an RB25 turbo in what seemed decent condition with some shaft play.

Turbo ran fine and held boost awesome, but then got back home and the car started blowing the smoke again!!

Pulled the catch can out and it had water and oil in it so flushed that out and also installed a brand new 3' stainless exhaust and cat from the turbo back! (The old pipe was full of sludge!)

No smoke for prob about 3 or 4 days with about an hours driving each day until today it came back just as bad!!

Mechanic seems to think its the turbo but i'm finding it hard to believe that two turbos and two motors do exactly the same thing??

Any help would be AWESOME

Thank you
